It's not uncommon for a mono amp to be stable @ 1ohm, and also common for the 1ohm and 2ohm specs to be about the same. Either way, chose a sub with a matching RMS spec to the amp at "X" ohm load. So, for example, if it puts out 750 watts rms @ 1 ohm, then go with a 2ohm DVC sub that is rated at around 750 watts rms. If the subs 1 ohm and 2 ohm output is the same, then go with a 4 ohm DVC that has the same rating. Always try to match the sub and amp's RMS specs, but the speaker's impedance determines the amp's output.
