I decided to sell my 2000 21i and am hoping to get at least 17,000 for it...I deffinately want a newer boat but I dont know if I can go brand new or close to it with the whole financing plan because money will be tight in school unless you guys know of better plans than ive been presented so far so the advice im looking for would be whether I should just buy something thats a little older with the money I have (plus some) or go new...keep in mind im a 23 year old student in chiropractic school. thanks for any advice

The used market is loaded with good deals on loaded boats IMO. 5 years old or less usually gets the same APR as brand new as well.

So do you still have the boat?

On the flip side of it being a "buyer's market", you're not going to get "retail" for your boat. I'd wait until out of school to upgrade. You're just paying the taxman.
