OK it may have been covered before, but I have a question about them... I just got my 1st weekend on my new '08 Murray with '08 Murray bindings.... and after some tweaking I removed the center fins (it was a little tight feeling for me) and removing the J stiffeners from the bindings(they were causing some pressure points), I am getting used to the board and bindings. But, as it was the 1st ride of the year and an new set-up too, I took some real hard falls and never came out of the bindings.... Not a real big deal to me as this saves time getting back in... I was just wondering if this was the norm or if they will release when absolutely necessary... BTW I was using the old Temet bindings with the BOA and they were a little more flexible and not as tall so that may have something to do with it....
I've never come out of my D2's I never came out of my original Drivers (half a foot, once) I did come out of my Cells, twice I never came out of my Shanes
My first gen Murray closed toe boots, yes I did, a lot.... but newer closed toes, fat chance.
thanks, I was just wondering and good luck on the internship... I am currently unemployed... But, thanks to the wife (who has a great job) and smart financial decisions, I can still keep the boat and I am a stay at home dad until I find a job... It has its benefits like being able to hang out on Wake World a lot..no worries about the hijack... It seems like your feet staying in the bindings is safer anyway to me anyway. Less chance of one leg coming out and tearing up the knee that stayed in....
Trust me.... If you fall hard enough you want to come out.
I was having the same problem when I first went to closed toe Zeus'. That's why I started riding in socks. I know it sounds stupid and it's been debated, but they make it so I come out on hard falls. Incidently, I got the socks thing from Murray at Spring Ride last year.
Evan - That's strange because I come out LESS wearing socks. The socks are there to create a tighter fit and produce more friction so you should be staying in your boots more. The main reason Murray wore socks was because the 2008 footbed was/is very slippery.
I tried them with and without socks... I had been reading about the whole socks thing and then there were some pressure points so I tried them on Saturday and it was not bad... Then Sunday I forgot to put them in the boat so I rode without them... I did stub my big toe a little without them.
