Boat: 1996 MC Maristar 225VRS

Its winter so I have lots time to think about how to set up my wake.

Its a big boat with the rounded bottom so I really struggle to get a lip on the wake instead of having it round off.

Right now I have about 1200 in sand bags and an additional 800 in ballast.

Additionally I ride on a shallow lake and usually just ride with the wife and kids. So....Who has dialed in one of these to get the size and shape that fits this boat?

Thanks

I would start by putting more of the weight in the bow. Maybe 800lbs in your rear storage and the rest in the bow/walkthru area.
Good Luck!

Hmmmm... I would disagree 100% with the above.

start with 70% back 30% front for that boat. Got an older MC myself, and thats how she likes it. Also running about 2000 lbs and I would say its the best with big weight in the back. Once you get the back weighted down, you can add to front and back equally, but you have to start with weight in the back on that hull.

My buddy has the same hull...
We ride with 400# sacs in each rear locker, a 400# sac across the rear seat (or on the floor depending on how many people we have), a 500# sac in the ski locker, a 550# sac in the front walk way pushed as far up as possible, and 200 #'s of lead in the bow.
The wake is pretty nice, but could be better with larger sacs in the rear lockers.
Also, his boat is re-proped with an ACME.
