Has anyone moored a new x-star on a bouy?
How does it handle 2 ft wind waves?

What's up Maddock...! Can't imagine an X-star would handle wind waves well -- the bow is probably too low for the waves you see in the Sound. If you're looking at MC, you might consider the X-15. If you're stuck on the picklefork, check out the X-35?? It rides higher in the water than the X-star and is rumored to have a comparable (some have even said better...) wake.

Hope all is well with you, Chrissy and Sierra! Please tell them I say hello. Missed you in Pateros this year, lets ride soon.

An X-15 would probably be a better choice.

Thanks for the comments.
Yo Cal, the family is doing awesome.

Good to hear from you.
Let me know if you ever want to ride down at FI - or if you need a 3rd up in Seattle.
Frost said you got an awesome new boat.
Congrats.
I'll try to make a guest appearance at Pateros next year.

Don't know about a bouy, but I've had one tied up to my dock using whips on multiple occasions with easy 2 foot wind waves ( my dock gets pounded by wind at times) The starboard side was taking the brunt of the wind. It rocks quite a bit but no water comes in.

The problem I would have is if it is saltwater there could be some splash and water getting in the boat which would not be ideal.

When the wind blows, we can get some pretty big waves. My VLX holds up pretty well. When the wind really rips it will take a wave occasionally, but the cover deflects most of it.

Yes, Salt Water isn't ideal - except when it is super calm.
