I have about 500 lbs of lead in the form of loose wheel weights from a tire store.

I was thinking of melting them down, but it just seems like more of a pain in the arse than it's worth.

the best idea I have come up with is putting them in small tool duffel bags. The reason for this is they are easily moveable, wont slide around, pretty durable, manageable size.

I dont want to do PVC pipes, because they will roll around and be a general pain.

Anyone have any other ideas? Possibly a source to get small tool grade duffel bags?

I have some POP bags that I will sell to you cheap. I have 10 bags that I paid $100 for, and will sell to you for $50. I found a better ballast solution and the bags are just collecting dust.

I always thought the bank change bags made of canvas with handles would be good. Rod's pop bags would be nice if their the same as the ones that Pop Products uses.

rod, how much do your pop bags weigh? i can only imagine that the shipping on that much weight would kill the deal... if you are in the area, depending on the weight, maybe we can work something out. thanks!

hate, change bags??? hmmm.. sounds like a good idea! they are probably pretty tough, and a reasonable size to carry heavy weight. time for a trip to the credit union!

anybody else?

It might be just the bags themselves without lead. I think pop products used to offer just the bag to put your own lead in. 10 for $100 sounds like just the bags to me.

Yes, I have just the bags, and they are from POP Products. They are heavy duty bags with a separate plastic liner. Bryan, I'll try and get pics later today...

Upload

Magazine is inserted to get a feel for the size of the bag.
