Abe, i got mine through ski safe and it was $250 a year for an 89 malibu sunsetter. My insurance has a lay up period as well as a $1000 deductible and if you get in an accident in the first six months of the policy the deductible is doubled. I could have gotten a westmar policy for $100 more that came with with better coverage and a $250 deductible with no lay up period. I wish I had gotten the westmar policy because my 4th time out this season I hit a sandbar and ruinned my prop and prop shaft. It took me almost a month and a half to get a new shaft and prop. and i had to do all the work myself. It would have been nice to just have to pay the $250 and drop the boat off at a dealer. Well lesson learned, next year i'm getting Westmar. Moral of the story is that accidents happen on the water and when not if they happen to you, you will want to have good insurance
