I noticed that Murray posts here on WW occasionally. Are there any other pro's that are posting on here?

I have seen posts from Soven also. Jimmy LaRiche has also posted on here. Many of the pros read or keep up with Wakeworld, I have seen Lyman blog about reading posts. Dave also gets texts and phone calls from some of the pros when new tricks go down too. There are some up and comers or parents that post on here too. Team Valdez, Alex Scagliotti's dad, Austin Hair's dad, Nicola Butler's dad, Tony Carroll, Larry Taylor and I am probably missing some. From what I have seen, all of those that I listed will have an impact on the direction that wakeboarding is going in the coming years.

Why don't the pros that post on here have profile pics? I believe Tino Santori was on here talking about The Chronicles of Knarlia, JD was talking about his orlando fountain gap, and Ricky G was talking about ride for a cure?

Shapiro has also posted. Either Lidberg or Lyman ( I forget now). Also, Dallas used to show up occassionaly to defend herself when people acused her of smoking or whatever. Yeah, Jonathon came on here talking about how 3 stage boards hinder your riding, and how they were no good. Umali basically laughed in his face (in a digital kind of way). Last time I saw him.

Just about everybody reads WW threads. Riders, magazine personnel, board companies, shops, reps etc. Don't think for a minute you can bash someone and them not hear about it or read it themselves. We have a very small community.

I think that it is a very good idea for pros to post here. Sponsors want them to sell product and I think having a good rep with your fan base is a major part of that. I know they need to be careful with what they say, but I don't think it can hurt their popularity to post. For example, when Soven was catching some heat on here he replied in his defense. I thought that was great, and I can't imagine that his replies made him less popular with the people on this board. There is probably no larger wake community in the world and the fastest way for pros to become popular here is to post regularly. And, it could never be a bad career move to become a fan favorite.

On a different board I once called BS on a really bad sequence shot. I didn't know the dude was a pro but his photo sequence was so obviously jacked I figured he was just a poser. The reality was that he was an incredible rider and a really bad photoshop editor. Of course his posse got their panties in a wad for disrespecting their sacred cow. I guess the point here is if you are a pro make sure the pics you post are also pro quality.

I think it is great when the pro's post on here. I feel like not many other professional athletes would do that. The more they post the better it is, especially if it isn't to just defend themselves but to add thier own .02

All the pros I have met have been great. They are all glad to see people stoked on the sport. I think it is great that some post on here, it would be nice if more did. I also think it is cool that when somebody sticks a new trick, David Williams is one of the first to get a text or phone call and that they will send videos to him so that we can all enjoy them.
