With its second award as the best country in the world for adventure tourism, Chile continues to position itself as the place par excellence for international athletes. This was demonstrated by the visit of Red Bull rider Steel Lafferty, a professional wakeboarder who visited the Radal Siete Tazas National Park to carry out a new challenge.
Lafferty was pulled down each of the "cups" by being dragged by an electric winch. "It was a very crazy idea and difficult to make. To access the cups we had to use professional climbers and natural anchors. I think it was the most complicated place I have ever been," Steel said.
Even so, Lafferty and his team continued to advance their idea and after three days of recording they managed to complete their assignment. "Each of the cups took me about two hours to complete. It was several days of recording and I ended each day frozen. In the end, I caught a cold and everything was even harder. I think we did something incredible and I feel anxious to show it to the world," he finished.
