Has this info been leaked or does someone need to come in and save us? I have my guesses, but I can't say for sure. I see signs. And it's not who we all think - MasterCraft (because of Nicola, and the fact that there's a MasterCraft logo in a couple of his newer videos). MasterCraft is a red herring in this plot I predict.

Just cuz Norbi is filming him behind Nicola's MC doesn't mean he gunna be sponsored by them. I'm sure he ride any chance he gets, doesn't matter who its behind!

MC because of Nicola would prob actually work out. No need for a boat, just some money and perks and he uses hers. 2 for 1, and the top riders of both worlds. win win

But what does Red Herring mean? Surprised to see that he doesn't have a boat sponsor. He's an incredible wakeboarder but is that all it takes to represent a boat company?

Man, I know a guy that knows a guy who knows a lot of pros in Florida, and when I asked him about it, he said that Red Herring is going to take over in 2010. Kind of an insider secret though...don't tell anyone. (Message edited by anthemwake on January 22, 2010)

Laughs. I know! Who else does? Somebody from the company had better fess up before people that know say something. Out of profound respect for my source I can not. Word is out though.

Chris, what do you mean? Maybe you aren't reading my posts correctly. You may know who it is, I do (with 100% certainty), he's got to have one already, I know the terms of the deal, so the beans must be spilled. That message should come from the company. Not me. If there was a way for me to drop a hint to prove "The Truth" and not bone my resource, I would. Unfortunately the guy is one of my wake heroes so I won't.

There were signs of the impending buyout of Mastercraft by Red Herring Enterprises a while ago... just look at the bottom boat here: clearly, it's the 2010 "Red Herring" Wrap!! http://wakeboardingmag.com/files//2010/01/mastercraft-boat-wraps-2.jpg

Yea, and maybe he is switching to Company Wake too since Nicola rides Company but for a more serious GUESS if a sponsor is in the works... Malibu? just going off the "truth" as a potential tip and going off http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=2680 which is probably totally on a limb anyway

I typically like the Sirlin wraps I've seen, but those two look like bad Ed Hardy shirts. Next we'll start seeing boats with sworawski crystals glued down the sides.

Bayliner's getting back into the wake boat market. Remember Murray's old red one. They're bringing it back-the Bayliner Red Herring Rathy signature edition, $19,900 out the door.

It may be cc but pics of the last riders meeting early this week don't show him there. Well we're left with Moomba, Tige, Svfara, Sanger, Centurion, etc .... If I had to bet it would be on Moomba.

Norbert I didn't say he needed that. The Nicola connection is only that - a connection. Of which Rathy has MANY. Christ you guys take the smallest thing and run with it like a bunch of Olympic sprinters. What is this a tigeowners.com reunion?

Norbi - nobody is saying he needs Nicola's help. Most of this thread is conjecture, some of it is tongue in cheek and the rest is misunderstood. The whole thread has become a parody of itself. Oh, and there is a red herring as well which is either a boat or some kind of fish???

No u guys I'm pretty sure the guy who won the world wake championships, king of wake, and oakley move of the year is going to need help landing himself a boat sponsor. Maybe Red Herring was the code name for Mastercrafts relationship with Cash Rewards.....

As you can see, we have a picture of him clearly riding behind a red herring. These new boats have one problem though, a lack of seating for other people... Realistically, if I had to guess at a sponsor for Rathy, I'd go with Epic. Specifically because right now they are working pretty hard at getting their name out on the East Coast, and if they were able to get the KoW on their team, well, that's fantastic publicity. It would be nice to see a west coast Canadian boat builder sponsor a west coast Canadian rider...great opportunity here for Campion if they truly want to build the Svfara brand...unlikely I know.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought Mike....unlikely...but it would be a great opportunity for Campion / Svfara and for Rathy to support the wake industry of Canada.
