We are considering a 2005 Malibu Sunsetter LXI. My wife and a few friends like to ski. The rest of us wakeboard. The boat we are looking at has Mls ballast and the wedge. What do you think? Is compromise a good thing?

Let the skiers use a ski boat and you get a v-drive. After a while everyone will be a boarder and you'll be set.

I've got an '02 lxi. I really like the boat. the wake will not get as big as many other boats, due to the 'lifting hull' but it is big enough for me. and i have never had complaints from pros that have ridden behind it.

when you say they ski... do they ski buoys and ski competitively? If they are recreational/intermediate skiers a v-drive isnt going to kill them
