I've read a couple of posts of others with the problematic '02 ballast pumps and how the wiring is not a heavy enough guage for the voltage/amp requirements of the jabscos.

I was wondering if anyone might know how relays installed in the ballast harnesses could help resolve the problem??

By installing a relay, you are not running the wiring up to the switch, and then to the battery. I've completed a ballast system in an '98 MC PS205. I mounted 2 relays inside a 3.25" x 3.25" box next to the pump. The pump power wiring for the rear pumps is wired directly to the engine. Ground to the block, power where it goes to the starter. Here are some pics:

Thanks for the reply, any chance of a diagram for the electrically challenged? I would like to do this and go to MC since they can't seem to figure out a fix.
