I skipped it this year. My friend, Dan, went though. Not all of you know this, but my wife and I have a little wakeboarder on the way (June 8th). I didn't want to risk getting sick or anything and then passing it onto my wife. I'll be out there next year.

The rail jam at 2 today was pretty meh. A couple cool tricks, but worth watching. I have never seen a winch thingy in action. Seeing the hassle of one makes me glad I have a boat. But I guess they have their place in the world for some. That and I talked to a Trophy Lakes designer at the show who confirmed the ses2.0 at new germany starting this year. He did make it seem like it is a gated community and the possibility of a public setup seemed in question.

How about Jared Allen out helping sling Bu's for MN inboard? What kind of deal did they cut him for hanging out for a few hours??? I'm looking at the first weekend in April... At least the ice will be thin by then right?

My buddy Shawn is on Medicine and his friend Drew are on Medicine. They both have X2's and are out boarding and surfing all the time. I hope to get out on Medicine with them more this year. There are a couple Wakesetters and a Supra or two out there as well. Our crew rides another local really close there as well.

Nick, that kicker is in the worst spot ever. There is by far not enough room to hit that without risking missing the pool. The rooftop rail looks pretty sick. A lot more stuff probably would have gone down if it was just the rail and not the kicker because I know i would be worried about clocking my face on that thing trying a backlip up it.

We only surf when it's blown out or if it's glass and there is another wakeboat sharing the water. Let's find out the first time that Nintzel is shooting video on Bald Eagle this spring and have a Wakeworld meet there and surf like 6 boats counter clockwise. J - I'll talk to Shawn about dock space on Medicine. But if you're pulling up north on the weekends - that's a bad spot with that launch being so shallow. Better off to just keep trying for Fish. Post on Craigslist again. I've seen more slip options there lately. It's getting to be that time. If any Metro guys are looking slip space in the South Metro - shoot me an e mail. We have a lot of space on Marion for super cheap full year prices.

Hahahahahahaha, I love how much crap I get for hating Surfing! What really sucks is that surfing is actually super fun, but because I hate on it so much I cannot do it! That's okay cause all in all I would rather wakeskate! Nick, You should join the early morning team this summer, Colin Ryan and I are going to be out almost every day at 6am. BUTTER!

I sure hope so, it really all depends which direction I take with my studies. I am seriously looking to sell my boat beginning in April. I could end up as close as Lacrosse, WI, and as far as AZ or Loma Linda California...so, it all depends which road Im offered and which road I pick But Ill be sure to save some time for some epic surfing sessions on Bald Eagle (goal - Have Andy Surf with us at least once) and some time to kick it with Sophie and LizDon and the SANTE! PS - come snow kiting with me sometime Don! Im out two or three times a week!

What up everyone? While I am stoked to get on a wakeboard I was just in Aspen and we got 4-10 every night and there are plenty of untouched stuff in the trees. It was a great and I am headed back to CO next weekend. If you feel like a shut in from the cold go out west! Now that I am back in MN I might not even ride this season. It has to be 115 with 80 degree water like AZ before I get in.

Jordan, screw the glass dance, we need a major monsoon for at least one year. I would be fine sacrificing a lot of the year to get a ton of rain and bring the lakes back up to a normal level like I remember them 6 years ago.

I don't want to be negative, but I just can't realisticly see 52 days as the ice, at least on my lake, melting. I'd love to know the condition of some others though.

you guys forget that we have three major rivers in the metro...they will be free of ice long before any lakes (at least the Minnesota and the Mississippi. the St. Croix tends to stay frozen a little longer). you just gotta get out on them before the major melting begins, because the water rises in a hurry!
