Need advice. We are having problems with the rode sling shotting back into the boat. I took a hit to the hand and ribs which are prttey bruised. We have him on a 75 foot line and same results if it is hooked to the tower or the piline. Advice?

Are you using poly-p or poly-E line? I've never heard of spectra wakeboard line doing that. You can buy a recoil tube designed to prevent slalom handles from snapping back in the boat and knocking out the driver. They work pretty well. Cost about $20, I think.

Check out the Accurate lines. http://www.accuratelines.com/default2.asp
What happens is the rider loads the line up with his/hers weight and the bungy ski rope slings in the boat. This happens all the time with sking.

I went and bought a proper wakeboard rope (yellow jacket) after hearing all the benefits of them. This was one benefit I had not heard of but am the most happy with. It is worth the extra bucks for the safety aspect alone.

Get the tube the rope goes through, or get the proper non-stretch line.

I use Spectra (Yellowjacket) and even with it loaded up, the most it has ever shot back is about 10 feet. Well worth the money, especially on riding performance, etc.
