anywhere!!!! Just depends how tough and to what lengths you'll go to to ride. I've ridden the Willamette River in the dead of winter when the water was 39 degrees and the air was 44 degrees. Freezing but still boarding year round. Also think about where you could afford to live year round.

The only place in the continental US where you can truly board all year round in shorts is So. Florida,

What about Arizona? Down in Texas? Do they really get that cold in the winter where you need a wetsuit??? I'll trunk it in anything as low as say 57 or so. (Message edited by tyboarder03 on July 04, 2007)

MHayes, you forgot Louisiana. Tons of water and there are no wakeboard boats.

Even Orlando gets cold for a few months. I mean into the 30's for air and the low 60's for water.I can hear you now that isn't cold. All I can say is come down in Feb I will pull your ass and watch you turn into a popsicle.

I board year round here in Cent. FL. When the air is cold, wear a light wetsuit. When it's nice, a heater shirt will do...

We ride year round in North Carolina. There are several heated lakes here to rip on in the 3 colder months.

Houston - we ride all year, but throw on the wet or dry suit when the 120 degree rule is in effect. (if the air + water temp is less than 120 it is COLD)

I've rode in 50/50. My brother went to pull me off the dock and didn't do it right and I fell. It was freaking cold. I couldn't breath.

Key Largo, Florida. Water temperature was 91 degrees last weekend. It actually got down to 63 degrees once this winter but rarely ever dips below 70. That was the only time I have ever used the heater shirt that I bought a couple years ago.
