Well I always recommend boards from NewWakeskates.com I think the mini would be a great choice their site is currently under construction while they redo it but you can check it out here -----> https://generalstore.wakeoutlaws.com/itemdetail.php?item_id=IQ1185473325I46a8e32dc2fcd

Sattelyte makes a sick board but I wouldn't suggest spending $230-$300 on your first board what if you decide you don't like it ? You can get the New Mini for $90

i'm looking at the 2006, 2007, and the 2008, hyperlite scape wakeskates and i was wondering if those would be good for me. I was also wondering if it would be hard for me to ride the sattelyte because it has no fins and if a board with fins would be easier.

$90 for the mini is a killer deal imo. The Mini is the exact same shape as the Mogley which is what I ride and I absolutely love that board

the new mini would be the best choice for someone that young/little. Jessica, the catalyst is too big for most grown men let alone an 11 year old.

I disagree. Depends on weight. The small catalyist might work and you can get them cheap on boardersbestbuy every so often.

Rob, the smallest scape (107) is over 42" and you should go with 40" or smaller. 36-38" would be best for you.
