Directly off LF.com. I didn't even notice the Eva pad...

# Mod features die cut Jessup Grip tape
# Signal features molded EVA skate pad
# Mod and Signal comes standard with 2 skate fins
# Mod features the accessory fins (4) for rail

Being a tool doesn't help. That makes up your mind by going with the Mod. So do I go with the 08 Hampson and hope the plastic coating protects the underside or do I go with a Mod for the grind base...

Toxis, if you are looking for a board to hit a lot of rails with go for the mod. The Mod looks like a solid shape. I rode the hampson a lot this past year and liked it a lot and it (hated asymmetrical though), but if you want a wood board but hit rails a lot Sattelyte makes very strong wood decks and have a PBT base which is the same material integrity uses. Sattelyte also has great shapes.

I rode the 42 mod a couple times last month and if it didn't ride so high in the water, it'd be my definite choice. I loved the way the Hampson rode and the style fits what I was looking for. I just wonder about the underbelly. I would like to get that and find a sealant to put on the bottom to keep the graphic.
