OK, so a buddy and mine are argueing about which way to put my plate on an 06 Pro-V. He says putting it down will make a better wake and I say putting it up will make it better. His theory is by putting it down it shapes the wake more. Mine is putting it up drops the back of the boat and makes the waker bigger. So to test our theory we did it and it made no seeable differences so I'm still wondering which is true or are the both correct?

You're both correct. Up gives it more height & vert, but also makes it harder to keep clean. Down makes it rampier, knocks down a little of the height, and it's easier to keep clean.

I am with trace on this one. All a matter of preference

I am surprised there is no seeable difference, on my Mobius LS there is a very noticable change in the wake shape when I move the plate up or down.

It only adjusts about two-three inches
