Does anyone know if the carpet comes out, it has screws around the edge, looks like you can just unscrew it and it comes out, but not sure, anyone done this yet?

That helps hold the floor down. The carpet is glued.

Those are the screws that are holding your floor board in place. If you take all of the screws out and there are probably more going into the sides of the floor from the storage compartments, you will be able to take your floor out of your boat.
If it is a Vdrive you will be able to access your fuel tank, ballast hoses going to the front as well as run wires to and fro.
