$450 per speaker seems like a lot for costco.

Does not seem like a good value. For less you can get a pair of wetsounds Pro 80's that would blow the panties off of those speakers.

I can tell you that these are some of the best speakers on the market, ARC AUDIO is a competition line car speaker, it has an aluminum cone, these speakers are clear as day! I carry different products, if I could sell these I would, but im pissed that their at Costco. Lightning accessories is the only marine stereo manufacturer that is allowed to deal with arc audio. The only reason I wouldnt go with it is because they sold to costco.

My friend has 4 of the same speakers in the same lightning cans... ARC makes sweet AMPs/SUBs but I don't really like the sound of those 6 1/2s. My clarions blow them out of the water! (no offense friend )

I don't care how good they are, no 6.5 speaker is worth 450 each.

One thing to think about.... Costco has the life time warranty. You blow them, just return them for new ones (or get your money back). You can even buy the stuff from their Website and return them to the nearest store.

caddywampin, that is $449 a PAIR. That is Lightning's low end speakers but they still sound great.

Alex, Are you sure? I think that it clearly states speaker with no S. The pic only shows one as well.

That is really weird and possibly misleading. I can't imagine they actually mean that price for one speaker. My guess is its for a pair, but doesn't make it clear. Bad marketing on their part. Anyone wanna just order a pair and then return them? I have heard that Costco has an amazing return policy, could you return them years later and blown, and get your money back?? This is actually tempting... I do want some forward facing speakers

The website sure never indicates a pair. Nothing is plural and no mention of a pair.

I assure you that tower speakers are sold as pairs. So we can agree to disagree, or you can just go to Costco and find out for yourselves. Lightning accessories 916-851-1889 Mon-Fri www.lightningaccessories.com -on their page it also says single coaxial, but who sells one tower speaker, no one. I sold these products for over 2 years, "Tower speakers are sold in pairs" So the guy who makes the website doesnt know anything about tower speakers, no surprise, call lightning and ask them. And of course its a good price, its costco. They are selling these things for what dealers pay. Well im done debating and im sure your all happy about that.
