As some of you know, I bought an '04 Supra 22ssv. I am trying to perfect the wake. I have messed around with ballast, changing the wakeplate position, etc. (no pics yet, sorry) Anyway, the drivers side is nice but it's pretty washy on the passenger (port) side at about 21-22mph. Any suggestions on how to clean it up and even it out?

Thanks,

Erick

balance the weight. Sounds like you need to shift some weight to the passanger side. If you were out by yourself this would explain it. More weight on the driver side. Old rule said my many. Shift more weight to the side that is washed out and it will clean everything up. In my old SSV I ran 450lbs on each side and 700lbs in the middle. Wakeplate about 3/4 up and the wake was nice and clean with a great lip. Good luck

I've got a 03 22ssv with 600lbs in each of the rear lockers and 1000 in the front. I'm running the plate on the little line between 0 and 25%. I'm riding at 22mph and 75'. Sounds like you just need a little more weight on the port side.

Mine is setup simlar to Pete's, if I run the plate past 1/2 it gets to lippy for me. but I run it all the way up for surfing.

Put a weight of some type (from a weight set or a brickor two) and try it in different places. You'll also find that moving passengers around will affect it. Trial and error.

When its just one person in the boat i add weight under the observer seat. Wakeplate alittle under 25% with full ballast.

In our Mobius LSV we fill the ballast and put it just below halfway. I found riding 24-25 mph makes a huge difference cause the wake was pretty wide and soft and 21-22. At higher speeds it gets narrower and really hard so when you hit it will give you a good pop feeling.
