Depends on the trailer but it should just clear a 7' garage.

2004 back will fit in a seven foot garage by about 2 inches. I can almost gurantee the 2005 up models will not.

Nope---that's why I got the Titan tower on mine.

Chuck, does an '05 and newer VLX fit with the Titan? Thought I heard they didn't fold down as much as the Illusion towers. Still talking about a 7 foot garage.

Is it possible to remove the illusion tower on a 2005 VLX? I know the 2006 is spring loaded and not an option, but not sure how much work it would be to remove the tower at the end of the season on a 2005 to be able to fit it in a 7 foot heigh garage.

My 06' VLX w/Illusion will not clear a 7' garage door. The Nav light on the 06' requires almost a extra 6" of clearance. I havent measured yet but unless you have the lowpro trailer you'll probably need 7 1/2 or 8' tall garage door.

I started to tel my story but the !@#$% wireless connection quit...

THe nav light is on the forward arch of the Illusion tower, so when collapsed, the ski-spool is the high point. I dropped the tower Saturday to investigate since the actual opening of my door is 83". Don't forget, you can gain clearance for the tower by letting air out of the tires and reinflating them to prevent damage. Leave a huge note to self everywhere to reverse the process instead of tearing out the the garage door trim.

The height of the tower never came to be the issue for me. Unfortunately the rig is too long to make the swing in the driveway to get in the garage. I could spend $14K for a compact Kubota tractor and swing that way, but I don't need a tractor for anything else. Crud.

Slight hijack: What is the consensus on winter shrink wrap? I searched the archives but didn't see much in the way of opinions. Indoor storage runs $28/foot plus materials for winterization. (Stabil, fogging oil, etc.)
