To drain an LQ9 you need- 1 - Bucket 1 - Piece of garden hose 5' long 1 - Funnel 7 - Rolls of paper towels 3-8 - Buddys watching to criticize if you mess up that 8k dollar engine. Good Luck!!
If you are reffering to "winterize" the engine, there is a plug on the bottom of the heat exchanger that you remove, and un-do the crossover hoses on the exhaust manifolds. That will get the majority of water out of it.
