Somehow, I have already put 50 hours on my new boat this past month and a half. That is a good thing.
I pulled it out for the first time this week to get some service done.
1. New impeller. I asked for a new one to put into my on the boat tool box. The dealer decided to go ahead and put it in for me, and give me the used one as a spare....great idea...nothing lost there.
2. Oil change.
3. 2 remotes installed
4. I installed tower speakers.
5. Washed the living heck out of it, inside and out. Two coats of marine wax, then a dusting of 303 on the gel coat and a good buffing.
6. Rain-X all the glass
7. Oiled the teak, three times
8. Cleaned the interior perfect, then a nice coat of 303.
9. Rinsed out bilge, and cleaned carpet.
10. Put my new board and bindings on the racks.
11. Finished IPOD install.
12. Put the boat back on the lake..
Ahhhh, I swear the boat ran better and smoother than ever. I think the wax helped make the boat slide through the water better
Yea, I know better, but seriously....after sweating my butt off for four hours my boat just seems perfect. It just gleams....
I put it in the lift, grabbed a beer, pulled up a seat and drank a beer just looking. Its a job well done...feels good.
