Measure, measure, measure, to be sure. Your beam is typically the widest point in the boat but in some cases, esp for boats with narrower than 102" beam, the fenders may hang out a little bit past the boat. You'll want to eyeball down the side and determine if the boat or the fenders are the widest point, and measure there.
Keep in mind also that a 9ft wide garage door does not have a 9ft wide opening. Your gonna lose between 1-2" per side due to framing, trim, door seals, etc...
Here are the numbers on mine and it is razor close to get in the door.
1989 Supra Sunsport (95" beam advertised)
The widest point is actually 99", and the fenders are this same width
9ft garage door (108") but in reality I have only 105 inside the trim.
So I basically have 3" to play with on each side of the boat.
