We picked up this motorized Sunsetter awning used from Craig's list. During the summer months our lake house top deck and front room gets pounded by sun. The deck is pretty much unusable because of direct sun and heet. By 10 in the morning its like walking on coals out their. The front room gets pretty hot if you have the blinds open from the sun Coming in.
We installed this awning in about 1 hr and plugged it in. We are very happy with how it works. I can't believe we didn't do this add on years ago. The amount of light it stops Coming inside is very nice. Can't wait to see how it works come summer time. We payed $800 for this one cause it was almost brand new they are around $2700 new. I still have to adjust the angle so it's not so low in the front.
This one is 18 feet wide and it extends out almost 11 feet. It has a remote that allows you to adjust how far out you like it to extend
I've got a patio that needs some sort of covering. But between HOA rules and what I permanently want, your awning looks like the right solution for at least next summer.
After seeing how well the one worked out for the house we got another one for our Hot Tub area.
We made a freestanding support that holds the awning above the hot tub. This one is a 14 footer and we got this one for $450. The color is not my first choice but I can swap it out for a better color soon.
Grant ,
I sell sunsetter awnings. You got that sucker CHEAP ! One word of caution. Do not trust the wind sensor if you have one or are thinking of getting one. They suck and you will find your awning 2 states away of the wind picks up.
