currently on an 07 ronix covin 138.

I rode and love the murray 135 and I am about to buy it, but wanna try the lyman. I can get a demo, but so far I am only able to track down a 139 to try next week. I do want to try the Lyman 135 as well before I decide.

Murrays 135 felt bigger than a 135, infact it felt like the same size as my covin 138. If i can get away with it, i want to stay with the smaller board.

anybody ridden the murray and lyman? how true are the sizes compared to eachother? speed, landings spinning?

thanks.

I've ridden both within the last week. I rode the 140 murray which to me felt smaller than my 138 transcend for some reason and I rode the 139 lyman which felt similar in size to the transcend. I really enjoyed both boards. They both had really good pop and nice landings. If I were in the market for a new board I could see riding either of them. I'm 5'8 155 and would get either the 140 murray or 139 lyman for my size. I rode a 134 absolute for years but like a little bigger board now. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those boards though.

thanks for your advice. I am the same height and weight as you. I have a lyman 139 coming out to demo, but i did not know if I should try to get a 135 as well, since I liked murrays 135 so much.

I ride the 140 Murray but also rode the Lyman and really liked it. The Lyman felt a bit faster but the Murray has been a great all around board for beginners all the way up to the big boys. Almost everyone that has ridden mine or the 135 has purchased one.
