What do you think will win Wakeboard move of the year and who will pull it? I bet Rathy could stomp a 12 if he put his mind to it. But could a toe 12 win two years in a row, or would it have to be a new variation?

I'd say that a couple of guys will hold out til the last minute like it went down last year. My prediction is that we'll all be surprised by what goes down next!

Right now I think it's definitely Rathy's grabbed wake to wake bs 9. it will take something pretty stout to beat this. Maybe you should have waited a little closer to 'decision time' to land this Rathy - by the time they get around to deciding the newness of this move will have worn down some and that's a shame.

He did, but I believe the landing was kind of sketch so it wasn't 'claimed' so to speak.

I'll go with Rathys bs 9... I think its interesting that Harf just got around to the wrapped bs 7 off the dub and Shane was doing the wrapped and ole bs 7... then Rathy comes out of nowhere and does both and steps it up a notch. If Andrew lands that grabed mobe 7 clean off of the dub then I would choose that I didnt get the chance to see it, but theres also the wake to tower grind in Out of the Pond

Well, ballots went out for all the categories for the wake award last Friday. I already voted. In regards to the move of the year, submissions are still being accepted. I thought Danny stuck a wrapped TS grabbed BS 9. I Might be wrong.

I am thinking since there are a nice list of consistant wake 9's in competition and that several are close it would be motivation to make history. Apparently Hutton has come really close and should be pushing for it.

Rathy could definitely stick a wrap HS BS 10! Maybe he already did and is keeping it under wraps. No pun intended. That trick IMO would beat Harf's BS 9 even if he did hit it TS. The only trick that could beat a BS 10 might be a wake 10. Wasn't Rusty trying wake 10's earlier this season?

Hm, I guess it comes down to your taste...personally I think a TS BS 9 would far trump a w2w 10. People have been doing w2w 9s for years and now 10s are becoming more common on the double up. Phil basically did it last year with his skeezer 7. The first TS BS 7 was just landed 2 years ago and noone does them off the wake. Theyre still a big deal off the double up. (Im not discrediting w2w 10s, that would still be dope). But yea a BS 10 would prob barely edge out a TS BS 9 in my book

you are correct http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfx0xWjnOWk Assuming everyone lands everything they're wanting to land... I think it would go in this order for me (assuming they're all stomped) 1. Rathy hs bs 10 2. Andrew mobe 7 2. Harf ts bs 9 3. Rathy hs bs 9 4. Hutton w2w ts fs 10 5. whoever did that wake to tower gap in out of the pond

Well done waterdork88. I think a w2w 10 should beat a HS BS 9 cuz it's a bigger spin. Then again, Rathy grabbed his BS 9, so it's hard to say. He should just stick that BS 10 and make the decision easy for everyone.

It is a bigger spin, but keep in mind that the 9 is backside... It really is hard for me to choose but if I saw a guy throw a ts fs 3 and another throw a hs bs 1... I think I might go with the 1, (slight preference) and the grab was icing on the cake. Now if Hutton grabs that w2w 10 then I would have a hard time placing that bs 9 over it.... anyways I agree, I hope someone makes this an easy decision

Why do we only speak about spins!? I'd like to see some invert winning the move of the year. Last year Soven's crow 7 was pretty sick, I remember Adam fields talking about a slim 7 in an interview... Or why not a variation of a double invert ...?

because spins are in style right now...inverts are what spins were in the 90s, and inverts will be the next "it" tricks in a few years, mark my words!!! (I think a double frontroll to revert aka frontroll+scarecrow or an indy temper tantrum would be dope)

I wouldn't count out Rusty's comp 10... Its may have been done before but never in a competition, which takes it to another level in my book and I wouldn't cout out Rathy's 12 if he did it. He may have done it heelside or he may have stomped it clean.

Comp 10 has a huge chance. To stick a move like that under the pressure of a tour stop is amazing. Plus it's not like he was out working try after try. He got one shot and stomped it. Hopefully Rusty pulls it down. Otherwise a back 10 would be GIANT!
