I have a cabin in Northern Wisconsin on a lake that is totally iron filled. After a 10 day vacation with the boat in the water, I have brown stain all over the hull. There is NO such thing as wiping this down clean at the boat launch. I buy Sno-Bol or liquid toilet bowl cleaner from Wal-Mart, put it in a misting spray bottle, and spray it all over the hull. Then I use a sponge or a brush (with gloves and eye protection) and the brown scrubs right off. Then I spray down completely with a hose, and re-wax the boat. This is not a fun process and takes a good 3-4 hours, but it does come totally clean in the end so it is worth it. I'm considering doing just the sides of the boat during the season and the entire boat only once at the end of the year since I think it will all come clean either way.
