Thanks man. It was a hard decision to go away from nautique, but wake boats have gone off the damn deep end. 100k for a 23 foot boat just because it has a big motor and plows through the water and has a nice stereo. Really? I mean really? I'm looking at buying a Lakehouse and 400k is the going rate for something somewhat decent. I'm choking on that number on a HOME hat I plan to live in for 20 years that will not depreciate and people are dumping 100k in a friggin boat that will depreciate 10% a year? Really? 50k is a ton of money. At least with my axis I've cut my investment and risk literally in half and all I've had to sacrifice is what? A tower camera? Some polished accessories? Gps in the dash?

I agree, The cost of these boats are ridiculous.. I mean you cant tell me it cost more to build a wake boat then it does a giant cabin cruiser which is pretty much the same price... I cant justify paying more the 60k for a wake boat and thats still more then I"d like to pay for something I get to use on weekends 4 months a year.

Brendan: Please show me where you can buy a "giant cabin cruiser" for about the same price as a wakeboat, I will take six. Oh, and of course it has to be new, With all the giant cabin cruiser toys and amenities.
I, for one am happy for anyone that buys ANY kind of boat and gets out to actually enjoy it.

I"m not talking ocean liner, but for 80-100g you certainly can get a decent sized cabin cruiser. I"m talking 24-37 foot type sport cruisers

Again, post the link. And 24' is not a "giant cabin cruiser". I guarantee you will not find a NEW cabin cruiser of normal size (30' or larger) for less than a wakeboard boat. Again, if you do I will order six and sell them for twice that much.
The point is this: If you are going to bash the prices of boats and the people that pay that much for them, make sure you get your facts right instead of making false comparisons when you clearly have no clue what you are talking about.
BTW: If you think wakeboats are priced high, check out the go-fast market. Half a million won't buy the biggest and baddest, not even close. I saw a nice little 6 passenger cat with big power that is priced "on sale" for 465k....how many of those do you want?

First off I never bashed anyone for buying these boats! If I had the money right now I'd buy a new one aswell. I just have a hard time wraping my head around the price of some of these boats vs the materials involved. My uncle bough a 30 foot cabin cruiser just last year for 110k, not far off from a fully loaded 24 foot wake boat. I was just trying to compare materials involved.
also here are a few examples

OK, I'll give you an E for effort. 26' isn't "giant" as I define it, but a worthy try for sure.
I looked at the RZ2 very hard, but in the end the additional interior room was just too important for us.

Great to see the new boats. I also enjoy the conversation about pricing and bling options. Lucky for all of us, there is something for everybody. I looked at a few "lower cost" boats if you can use that phrase when looking at $45k toys and was impressed with what I saw. I would have been happy as a pig in sh.. with either a Moomba LSV or a Axis, but you can see where they cut costs when compared with the more expensive boats. Are they less usable? Not even a little bit. But I also don't resent folks who pay more. Do they get double the boat for double the money? Probably not, but they get what they want.
My original plan was to buy a less expensive boat. Sadly, I also looked at the more "blingy" boats and caught the bug. There is no way in hell I could ever rationalize the amount of money I just agreed to pay for a new boat (SANTE 210) so guess what. I'm not going to try to!! I like what I like and I plan to keep it for a very long time so I just bought it. Can't wait to post pics in about a month and a half or so.
Keep the pics coming!! I love the graphics on the new Tige's but I have yet to see one in person. Have no idea how well they are built, but they sure look good.

what color is your sante? pumped for pics! Ive ridden behind an older one once a while ago, i swear the wake made it TOO easy to wakeboard hahaha New ones looks pretty sweet!
Tiges are built very well! And the company is great, very personable guys and easy to get in contact with. they listen to their customers input and utilize it.
heres a link to their warranty page, pretty sweet!

Thanks for all those pictures from the show.... I noticed on some of the Tige's that the rear bench seat looks a little different. The middle section back does not sit flush with the rest of the back of the seat... what is that?

I think they did it to add a little more room in the cabin, the center part that is forward a little, is where the motor is. Cant go back any farther. A few of the MC's have that as well, just not as pronounced.

Shawn B, your X-25 is beautiful, I was looking at one at the Sac Boat Show, that is one of my favorite boats. I really like how much space that boat has for only being 21' 6" long, MC did a great job on it! Great fit and finish, and really like the new MC dash layout..... sweet!
Have a great summer with it, hopefully you get to rack up some serious hours on the water with her!

I'm not even a little bit into the new Malibu steering wheels. Just looks...strange. And i like to rest my thumb on a horizontal connector while I drive. The rest of the the boat looks fantastic though, as do 99% of the boats posted on here.

I agree with Benjaminp. I don't like the Malibu steering wheel at all. Everything else looks great? They should make that an option so you had different choices to choose from.
I like the Axis as well, minus the interior look. I know it is a wakeboard boat on a budget, but too bad they didn't make an interior upper end look as an option for those willing to pay for it.

I thought the same myself about the Isotta Single Spoke wheel, but I have to admit after demoing a VLX a couple months ago, they kind of grow on you. They are very well balanced, and not having as many obstacles for your hands/fingers was also a bonus which made driving the boat easier. They also allow you to view the MTC (Malibu Touch Command) a little better.
Visually speaking, you either love them or hate them, but there is a purpose for the design.

So I keep hearing tige's sit low in the water. Just wanted everyone to see that is not the case. Maybe in the 90's when the 2200 series came out did they sit low.
