That should be interesting considering an A24 should weigh about 1000lbs less than a G

I tried to call the boat over yesterday to find out how the wake was compared to the A22 but they refused. I am ready to see it in action.

I dont know if a 24 would fit me. I have been thinking about some A22s for a while. This might make it more practical.

"I heard pricing, but I'm not going to share."
"I saw the boat, but didn't take pictures."
"My dealer said it's going to be sweet, but no specifics..."
Seriously, lets just call every boat thread a rumor thread at this point. I was looking forward to some sneak peaks in this thread. Bummer....
I heard MB bought a deck boat mold and is converting it to a 24' inboard for '14.......oh wait they tried that already......

Moomba just officially showed a peek of their new model along their social channels. It's called the Mondo. Look for it to be a sub 21' 'mini mojo' maybe?
I also keep hearing rumor of an MC value line (like the V ride from Bu)...but who knows.

That Moomba looks pretty amazing just from the pics so far but man having the word Mondo all over the boat is a near deal breaker on its own.

debadging is easy. plus i think in looks sick as hell. like a Chip Foose car.
of course the one in the seadeck on the rear would probly have to stay. but side logos are so easy to remove.
also i heard as well that the mondo will be cheaper than the A24, and with the same wake. but i was not able to confirm. however an uncle of mine did. but he cannot share. his phone battery died.

Same wake, eh. How the hell would you, or your uncle, know? Unless your uncle is an r&d engineer at malibu, a local malibu rep, or one of a very limited number of pro riders, your uncle doen't know squat.
Although, if you've been talking to your uncle, I'm sure you know that the Mondo comes with some new surf technology to compete with the A24 as well. You uncle told me that, with the new Mondo, you simply have to squeeze an avacado lever shaped on the dash and a huge chalupa shaped fin pokes out of the rear of the boat (kindof like dipping a Tostitos chip into a bowl of salsa) and scoops out a sick multi-layered surf wave that is so totally big that it tsunamied the entire Malibu plant. I heard the catch phrase will be, "the Mondo's wave is layers above the rest... seven layers that is..."

I want to see all the new stuff as much as the next guy, but I can't seem to get excited about these close in shots from Moomba. Lets see the whole package then make a decision. I find it hard to tell anything from a tight shot of the transom. Same with the bow shot. It shows the layout but not really any way to tell the size.

heres a quick photoshop i did.
i took a mojo and shortened it by 10%
which would make it a 20'-2" boat.
here are specs i also completely made up (actually all based off real world specs and prices of Mojo and LSV averaged together and then multiplied by 90%)
Fictional specs from photoshop.
Length: 20'-2"
Weight: 3420 lbs
Ballast: 1000 lbs
Motor: Indmar 330hp V8
Street Price: $50,400

It would be entirely possible for someone to have seen the boat. When I was working at MasterCraft, the new unreleased X Star was on Telico lake daily. I also saw the Mojo many times on the water before it was out. Even rode in a pre-production A22 while I was there.

I've heard that the SAN 210 losses the reversible seat(bad idea Nautique) and adds a rear walk through(great idea). Also sounded like its all top deck changes. And no more Team Editions for 210 or 230.

I agree with Chat. By far the nicest Moomba interior I've seen. If they can keep their prices down that's going to be a pretty good selling boat IMO. A lot of improvements there.

Now that Mondo pic has been released, the rear seat is divided into 3 pieces. Big improvement for access to storage! I drove a couple of weeks ago and is way beyond my expectations. Sorry but I promised not to post any unauthorized pics. Much deeper, wider, and super clean wakes. Absolute home run for that market size boat.

That is a great improvement on the Moomba interior. Good move on their part. If they upgraded their wake too, now that will be nice!

Looks like a snap in the carpet - snap out carpet for SC finally? Not digging the inset vinyl, doesn't fit the shape of the seats or the interior. I have always like the stainless window frame.

I don't know if it's the size of the 247, or what, but it looks way awkward and undersized for the boat. I think it would look better debadged, but then again it would be interesting to see that graphic on the 23LSV/VLX/VTX. It is still a sharp looking boat.

That boat like most wakesetters would look better without the wakesetter graphic since the beginning of the wakesetter graphic. The only one that is all around good looking and the right size in my opinion is the 2007 silver edition. They had a very similar one a couple years after but put a weird WS in between Wake and Setter that messed it all up.

I like it. It makes the 247 look not as long. To me, that boat always looks like a stretched disproportional boat... makes the boat look smaller IMO. I like it

I like the 247 but it looks like they took a perfectly proportional boat in the 23LSV and just added a foot and a half in the middle and left the bow and windshield exactly where it was. Still a good looking and awesome boat but not as good looking or awesome as the 23LSV.

There is a pretty good pic of the G21 on wakemakers you can see the top deck changes pretty well. Nothing other than the builder pics of the SC. I hear there is some cool Malibu/Axis models due out at some point.
