why do most, if not, all wake towers fold down and most do not fit under a standard 7' tall garage door while the majority of us, i think, have the standard 7' tall garages.

But most towers do fold under a standard garage height, hence the reason they fold. Is this a trick question? -Steve

2 out of 2 boats we've had havent fit in our 7 foot garage. Both 21'6". Centurion and Malibu. I'd say some do but most might be pushin it.

If mine didn't fold I couldn't clear the bridge to my lake which is about 9' off the water.

I have an 02 X-star that fits in my standard 7' garage when tower is folded. I also have a bridge on the flowage I ride often that we need to fold the tower down to get under if we head to that part of the water.

My Supra 20 SSV fits in my garage as long as the gas tank is at least half full and the tires are not over inflated!!!

Most garage door openers do not pull the door completely up at their default setting. You may be able to adjust your door opener to pull the door up higher. If it isn't the door and simply the boat being too tall for the opening, you could try to look into lowering the hitch point, either by using a drop hitch, or lowering the boat somewhat using the tongue jack.

Jayson-2005 Centurion Elite-V(lightning)C4 Dropping pressure in the tires would do the trick but we just built an addition on the side of the garage. (Message edited by tyboarder03 on July 09, 2007)

Our tower is an OLD BareWest tower and it doesn't fold Its such a PITA to take it off every time we put it in the garage! One key thing we will look for in our next boat is a tower which can be lowered and still fit in the garage!
