i have had the chance to ride both the syn and the blur '07, i like and dislike them both for different reasons. the blur has great soft landings into the flats and tracks really well. but it is a really slow board in my opinion and doesn't release as well off the wake. it is definately a ride away board once the board starts tracking, theres not much you can do, auto pilot mode if you will, the syn is more freestyle board, i love how fast it is and it responds well..has alotta pop good for surface maneuvers, releases well off the wake. the landings seem a lot more rough than the blur. i can really feel them up the spine sometimes. but i have gotten used to the style board, it is a little more advanced i guess, but i prefer the fin configuration and feel more in control of the board than the board take me for a ride...just depends on your girl i guess..hope this helps a little bit..go hyperlyte, great warranty n customer service..they replaced my byerly no questions asked!....but may i make a suggestion...dunno if you already got her bindings...but check out ronix rise..i swear by them inside n out!!
but the blur has sweet graphics
