How much better off would I be with a closed bow ski boat as opposed to our current i/o(no wake hardly). The boat in question is a 1990 Ski Nautique. Does a price of 12,500 with 400 hours on it sound good? I think it's a little steep.

We aren't concerned with room b/c usually it's just my dad, a spotter and me riding. Would a ski boat be able to run in shallower water as well, maybe even with a little ballast.

An 89 would have a better wake. If it is just the 3 of you I would definetly get an inboard over a I/O.

Sounds step. There is a 1990 in the WW classifeds for less than that.

The only advantage to this is we can do a trade in. We are having trouble selling the damn thing.

ski boat. you'll never regret it. That sounds a little steep, but not much. its low hours and if good/great condition, that doesn't sound very steep at all.

Not sure if you are interested but I was planning on listing this Correct Craft Matinique in spring when I get it out of winter storage. The wake will blow you away compared to what you are currently looking at and it has a tower. I was going to list it for around 10K

My 96 VLX was only 15k, so yeah I'd say that is a little steep.

if its in great shape then thats right on the money so to speak. Its hard to come across a seventeen year old boat with only 400 hours. Ive been looking for the past year for the perfect nautique and it just hasnt come around yet lol. But yeah, its not a terrible deal but i'd try to talk him down to about 11,500 or 11000 if possible. Then you would really be getting a good deal.
