Running Tsunami pump off outlet

So I've had some issues with my battery and wanted to fill/empty my pro-x sacs to test them out on the dock first. I bought a piece which is a transformer pack that plugs into an outlet and has a wire out to what looks like a standard cigarette lighter female piece. I figured this would be a great way to fill or empty the four sacs at the dock to take pressure off the battery, but there seems to be an issue.
When I plug in to this you can hear the tsunami whirring but very little if any flow. I plug in to the boat cig lighter and it pumps full stream. Any ideas why?

the transformer pack isn't putting out enough current. Those pumps suck some serious juice.....

Are wires crossed...running the pump backwards??

Just buy a better battery or put in a second one. I agree w/ dhcomp, probably not enough juice.

Anyone know if you can get more current out of a transformer pack if you wanted to make this happen?
