Does anyone know where you can get the braided sleeving, feels like it’s made out of nylon or some sort of lightweight plastic? that will cover up exposed tower wires. It looks like this. I found some online but it’s overkill for what I need and really pricey. Where are people buying this stuff?

Or Better: http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&DID=7&WebPage_ID=161&CFID=123993&CFTO KEN=53166448 I bought this: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=082-428 Up close it looks a little to shiney. It kind of has a cheap look up close. From a distance it looks good. But, it certianly doesn't look as good as stainless steel. (Message edited by yosquire on September 08, 2006)

Mail order is your best bet, you could probably buy an entire role for the price of a few feet from a local source. If you need it now, then I would recommend calling local stereo installation places and see if they have it. TIP: Put a piece of shrink wrap tubing over the ends, otherwise it will unravel and fray.

I've got about 100' 0.25" black sleeving. If this works for you I can drop you some in the mail. I'm in Dallas so you should get it pretty quick. I bought mine from Allied. www.alliedelec.com Do a search for "cable sleeving" and you'll find a bunch of options. Tom

Tom, thanks for the offer, I went ahead and bought some from partsexpress. A 25 foot roll was only $12. I figured I'd end up using it on other projects too, somehwere down the line.

Adam, For next time, Fry's does have it. Get it from the computer dept though. They carry the same stuff in their car audio and in their computer dept. However, the stuff on the computer side is 1/3 less expensive. Go figure?

Since moving out on the water last year, I'm in the sticks...if the local wal-mart, home depot or auto zone doesn't have it , I've gotta drive an hour (min) one way to get anywhere else or just order online..lol.

What size sleeving would you need if you just wanted to run an electric (indoor) cord together with a 12-gauge speaker wire? Thanks!

Adam, you've got a Home Depot? That's not the sticks..., I can show you the sticks. How bout Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply as your only option? I'll still take living on the water even with the trade-offs.
