painting wakeboard?

has anyone tried it or have any idea about it? i dont know how hard it would be but im thinkin you might have to do a gel coat type deal? any ideas let me know

yes it can be done, a frind of mine put gold ghostflames on his 02 Byerly and it looks sick! pics probably wont do justice because it looks best in sunlight, but i will post some pics.

how did he do it tho? did he just use like spray paint with a clear coat? or was it pretty intense...anyway i'd like to see the pics

spray polyeurathane is easiest. Just rough it up with some sandpaper and go to work. make sure its clean (rubbing alcohol) and then spray the poly on when you're done. really easy

are u wanting to paint the whole thing or what?? cause i know u could prime then base/clear with auto paint if ur wanting to go that route

I painted one of my boards and it turned out pretty good.

sand sand sand, then clean it with some lacquer thinner, hit it with a coat or two of primer, then a couple coats of whatever color you want.

That's how I did it.
