Hi y'all...I am on the verge of buying a 2006 Supra 24SSV Gravity Games edition boat. Anybody have any experience with this boat? Any suggestions? What would be a good price? I have owned two Supras in the past and liked them a lot. I am now driving a 2003 Tige 22IR. It has been a great boat also, but I am thinking about trying the V drive. BTW.. the Tige is for sale if anyone is interested.

Eh, screw the supra... go to the Tige 24Ve and add in a Rival system with same amount of weight and I promise you, it will stomp the Supra's wake. ;)

or think about a nautique 210 depending on your requirements for space. I would also have a look a the MB B52 V23. Great boat!

I have nothing but good things to say about the 24ssv and would highly reccomend it. The wake is insane on it and it is a great looking boat. Lots of cool little features too.

tiges don't need ballast cause the boats are so heavy, so you are burning more gas, that sounds great! the supra 24 ssv is a sweet boat, one of my friends have one, it's got a great wake, personally i'm a little partial to my XLV wake but the 24 supra weighs in at 3700lbs while the 24 tige weighs almost 4400lbs! that is just stupid

The first few posts on this thread cracked me up. I haven't ridden behind the 24 SSV, but have heard amazing things about it. I don't think you'll be dis-satisfied. I think we're going to be rolling a Supra next year. The '07s are seriously sick.

i think that the SUPRAS line ups are sick.. they throw a killer wake.. make sure you get the super big "body bag" for the bow.. it makes the wake HUGE!!!

JFC, who let all the kids in here lately? The 24SSV is a great boat, great wake, and drives amazingly well for its size. Get the wakeboard prop option or they are slow to plane. The ONLY thing I don't like about them is the amount of floor space for such a big boat.

From talking to an owner of the boat with full ballast and 7/8 people its a dog out of the hole with the stock prop and motor.

Adam, What engine? The stock SSV has the 325HP. The Gravity Boat has the 340hp. I did add the CNC wakeboard prop.

I don't think there are any true Tige owners that are wakeboarders that say Tige's don't need ballast. All boats need ballast to make your wake truly huge. We just all say don't get the stock ballast, as the hard tanks take up to much room. I don't think I've ever seen a Tige owner here bash Supra's... as there's not much to bash. I never onced bashed the Supra as I think it's a great boat. I love their gelcoat designs, I'm just not a big fan of their seating arrangements. Same reason I'm not in a nautique 226. Everyone has their own little things they care about in a boat.

i have a mobius xlv, pretty close the same size as the 24ssv, only 1' shorter and like 100lighter but i run about 2500# ballast plus 4 or 5 people and my boat gets up on plane pretty well, i run the 14.25x14.5 prop

I've got one and love it! Like Entrust said, with the 14.25 X 14.5 + the 340HP motor, getting on plane is NOT an issue, even with over 2000lbs of ballast + 4/5 people. Boat is solid, wake is amazing and storage is carnivorous....

I have not ridden behind the 24ssv, but I ride with a friend that does an he loves it. BTW, we have a Tige 24ve and it seemed like he preferred the wake on the Supra. I'm not bashing any boat, just stating what he said.

Supra's are SICK!!! I'm on my second, and seriously considered the GG 24 SSV, but opted for the 21V. I have the 340hp motor and the 14.25X14.5 prop and I put about 2800-3000lbs. NO problem getting out of the hole. Get the boat, you'll love it.

I looked hard at the 24 SSV. Both the ones I rode were the 340 hp, and the one that was privately owned openly said he wished for more power. The other was a dealer demo boat, and it felt adeqoute with the stock ballast and 2-3 people, but I thought it would be a dog with more people. I hate to re-prop for the hole shot and loose top end which means you are running high RPM to get anywhere (we sometimes have to run 30-45 minutes to find a good spot. If I had gone that route was going to order with the 8.1, but I am hp junkie.

MAtthew, I haev heard the smae thing from some 24SSV owners on the river I ride on. The stock motor/prop is not enough for the boat. Engine upgrade shoudl be a must, from what they were saying.

I think Supra has a hole in their engine line-up. They go from 340 hp to 450, nothing in between. You can get 375 to 400 in CC, MC, Bu, Tige, but not in anything from SC.

bbr, I was in a stock ballast , 5 people, 06 21v with whatever the stock prop is and it was a slug out of the hole, even with the plate all the way up. my 04 with GG ballast upgrade pops right up (has the SS wakeboard prop upgrade)

In my opinion, the 340 is plenty enough engine as long as you have the wakeboard prop (14.25x14.5). For 2007 it will be even better with the smart plate to optimize hole shot. For any fully ballasted Supra w/5 or more people in it, I would recommend the wakeboard prop upgrade.

The 2006 Gravity games boat is in one word "SICK". The stock 340 hp motor is just fine to get it out of the hole and if you get the wakeboard prop it is a monster out of the hole. The 2007 line up is off the hook, the 22 has the 24 seating and I drove a 24 with a 325 (not available by the way) in it with the wakeboard prop and it was still a monster out of the hole. If your worried about power then look at the 8.1 motor option. The rest of the manufactures beter watch out this year Supra and Moomba have stepped up and are pulling away from the pack.

Just wanted to chime in here. If you're running weight plus people, get the wakeboard prop. FWIW, I'm noticing less fuel consumption this year over last year. My 05 21V had the 325 and stock prop, with stock ballast (1100 lbs). My 06 has the 340 and wb prop, with 1600 lbs+ ballast....and is burning less fuel.

Thanks for all of the input guys. It sounds like the general consensus is that the boat with the prop upgrade and the 340hp should be sufficient. I generally only have to go a mile or so from the launch to find good water. I sure like the looks of the boat and the convenience features are sweet. (you can tell I am over 30...actually well over 30 or I would have said sick instead of sweet...Just be glad I didn't say groovy ) Thanks again for the great perspectives.
