In '96 I think they used a 205DD with a pole for the Tour....was it white? Then in '97, the blue one came out...still a DD with a pole. Would love to see someone rockin' one of those!

Dude i had a 96 mastercraft 205 before I got an X2 and it was a sick boat. I had 1000 pounds of lead and four fat sacs in it and it would barely go but the wake was sick. I put over 1700 hours on that boat before I sold it to my girl friends brother. I still ride behind it once in a while. It has a great wake. Later, Mike

I also had a '99 Prostar 205DD. The ski wake was decent, but a bit of a hump...not like an early 90's 190, but you could charge course on it. The wakeboarding wake was the balls for it's time...and still is if you have the 1/2 hour to fill 4 sacks.

The first X-Star was a 19' DD in 1997. The 2000 X-5 and Prostar 195 had the same hull with a small open bow scooped out.

I was under the impression that it was a 205DD in 1996 also. It came with a pylon and 1 fat sac. Yeah, it takes me at least a half hour to weight my 99' before riding. Gotta love it.

The first X-star was a DD 205. I have a 2000 DD with the X-star tower and it rocks the wake. I ride in a river alot and it is very manueverable for double-ups in tight places. Again the wake is huge and sick.

Hi everyone, we have the original X-Star. 1997 was the first year they came out, and featured only in green. 1998 they produced it in green and blue. The things that made it "wakeboard edition" was a stereo, pole, and 550lb fat sac. It is direct drive, before the V-drive took over the market, but I weight it front and back (~2,000 lbs). It is the same thing as a ProStar 205 with special graphics. I ride the Delta every weekend, just keep an eye out for the OG Green X-Star flying dual pirate flags (see profile and attached pics). The only other time I have seen another was in San Diego when they had the X-Games. By the way, I'm really happy a thread like this came up, yay! I can prolly find some more pix upnorth- yes, i believe it is the same

glad you aprprove I do what I can, stay beautiful!!! I do the Fat Seat (1200 lbs) in the back) and then the double 350 lbs sacs (~700) up in the walkway. Plus 9 people, the wake is definitely ridiculous.

I knew I saw one in someones profile, who was from the delta. Pimp boat, a true classic at only 9 years old. I remember drooling over one when they first cam out, but I had just bought my Malibu, so a new boat was atleast a few years off. The good ol' days, when a 10 ft pole and a fat sack were big pimpin.

Yeah, one of the pix in the brochure when we got it, Parks was doing a raley with the sandal wrap bindings... hahaha. One time, just before the pickle-fork bow X-Star came out, someone asked if it was the new X-Star, that was funny Jeff- I used to fill up coolers with water all over the boat before I got the sacs, super ghetto haha. (many many years ago, back when we had the pole) Ryan- Yeah that's me, I 'religiously' launch out of there every weekend. And I definitely made an appearance at the Hangtime Open! Way rad you recognize the boat. I'll be out on Sunday! Maybe see you out there ciao!

leo, i have ridden behind the boat you saw, if it was blue. a family in bay st louis bought it after darin shapiro put 800 hrs on it, back when he was sponsored by mc. it, unfortunately, sank a few years after they bought it.
