JetPilot Stance Vest reviews?

I was wondering if anyone out there has any reviews on the new JetPilot Stance vest? Ive been looking into getting one but was just wanting to get some feedback on how they float, thier flexibility, and fit so if you know anything about them give me a holler..

I have an older Stance molded vest (2004, I think). The newer ones look slightly improved. For example, on mine there is a velcro zipper cover. The velcro gets stuck to the actual vest material and causes it to fray and pill. The new Stance uses a button instead of velcro. The interior has a few seams that are not smooth and will itch from time to time. I'm going to start wearing a rash guard to prevent sunburns, so I'm sure that will also stop me from feeling any seams as well.

The fit is very good. The flotation is not as good as a USCGA vest, so don't expect it to hold you well if you are a heavy dude. I'm 160lbs, and it works fine for me, though occaisionally I get dunked up to my chin.

Overall, I think the vest is overpriced because the little fit 'n finish issues (vest frayed by velcro and itchy stuff inside vest), but I have a feeling they have fixed all of these in the new line. I would probably buy another new one if those two issues were resolved.

I with Jay on this one, I bought the Stance and had the same problems (itch, scratch, and the velcro is tearing at the actual vest, which just means i have to be more precise velcroing it, lol). It looks good though, didn't float me too bad, @ 205lbs.

Yah, Jay is right on the flotation...but then again it is a comp vest. The new vests are actually well put together and only $100!

Oh yeah, if you do buy one, get it from Bakes. They stock all the Jet Pilot stuff and that's where I go for mine.
