im ordering the roam board real soon, and im sorta stuck on what size i should go for, whether that be 139 or 144.

im about 160lbs and 5'11.

what would the real difference be? im currently riding boards from 136-140, but i dont know if this still applies to the roam boards.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

peace from the south east. Asia that is

You could ride either. Hype' says to ride it like 3-4cm bigger than you normally would. I've noticed that most people like the 144 because you get more flex out of it.
Where's Jason he's the expert on this.

definately go for the 144.
It gives you a little wider stance which helps you flex your knees better and get lower on the rails for better balance and control.

These boards are meant to ride bigger. I ride a 140 Shane and I am on the 144 roam.

cool i think 144 it will be. I really wanted to experience the flex patterns on this board for jibbing.
and yes we now have quite a lot off rails and jibbing going on at our cable park here in the philippines like a-frames, funboxes, rails for wakeskates and kickers galore. mostly all made from pvc's. Would love to try TSR or OWC status rails though.

thanks for the help guys

the 144. it will hold up better and give you more flex to be able to bone out those presses

Go big on the ROAM!!! I ride the 144 it will give you more flex and fun on boxes & sliders. I'm 5'5" and 165 and ride the 144.

carlo- get the 144. u will be very happy on that size if u are riding a 140 normal board. i used to ride the paks 138 and when i got on he 144 roam it was perfect. i almost wanted in to be bigger. with the new shape its now perfect and the board has absolutely zero swing weight. very easy to spin. the new shape also has the stance set about an inch wider that past shapes which help out alot too. for me at least cuz i ride as far out as possible.
brad- if you have much of a snowboarding backround i would recomend the 144. also if u weigh more than about 160 pounds then i would absolutely recomend the 144 no matter how tall you are.

Now all we need is them to make all the other boards with a stance that wide.

Anybody found the cheapest place to get an 06 roam? What are they going for?

i dont snowboard, and i weigh around 150 and 5' 11" im thinking that the 139 would be better. im still growing though, so in like a year it will probably be too small. so mabey the 144 is the way to go

brad- i think that you land right in the middle for the two sizes. i dont know what our ability level is but i would probably recomend gettin the 144 if you dont plan on gettin a new one next year. it'll have more pop and you wil be able to press it out better. plus you are pretty tall so your leverage will help.
