Ok i can find both of these boards on ebay for about $100-$150. Both are 05 models. I am an intermediate.
Skill level includes
W2W HS grabs
W2W HS 180's "grabs"

Which board will help me progress the fastest.
I am 6'0' 170lbs
I ride about once a week for one session.

I have a 2005 transcend that i am struggling with, i am not sure why i think i just need to work on my form.

Everyone says that the boards are good to progress with, i just want to know which one is better.

W2W 180 last weekend, need more hight

I'm not sure which board would be better suited for you, but that sure is a beautiful lake..

I ride the 04 Era, and although they made some changes to the 05's... I really like my board, and everyone from beginner to advanced riders have really liked it as well.

From what I hear, the main difference between the 04 and 05 Era is, it's a little faster... And of course, the graphics are different.

The Trip was my 1st board. I like it a lot too, but I think you'll find that you'll be able to ride the Era longer than the Trip, at least that was the case for me.

you wont go wrong with either board... for sliders Id say trip because the fins wear down as apposed to the molding in fins on the premier that will eventually get to the core. I prefer trip, but, there isnt a better of the two with these two boards... just preference.

Can't miss with an Era. Very forgiving board and should last you a long time. For '05 they added a molded "mini" fin that runs the length of the board from the molded fins at each end. It was supposed to make it faster, but it also made it a bit grippier on the water. The '04 is my personal preference, although the '05 is good as well.
