Gary, Thanks for posting those shots of Chris. I was out of town also and didn't get to check it out. With Schwenne not there he missed a golden opportunity but I'm always happy just to hear his trunks didn't fall down in front of everyone.

The camera is a EOS digital Rebel, wtih a 200x zoom lens. I think thats right. It was my first time playing with the camera so I am still learning what is going on with it. I have a few other good shots I will post.

Evan, if you want to get the best lens for shooting WBing I'd look at the Canon 70-200 f4L, 70-200 f2.8L or 70-200f2.8L IS - $650 to $1600. I've got the 70-200 f4L and it's an excellent lens with the 20D. Arun's got the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and I know he's happy with it.

Evan; I have the Quantaray 70-300mm 1:4-5.6LD on my camera. And I have no idea what that means. I went into Wolf Camera (Denevi) and told them what shell I had and what I was looking to do and this is what they recomended to me. I know Walt has a pretty good lens and his pics are the quality I want. I researched his lens and I think it was in the 1500 dollar range. I paid 130 something for this one and so far I am happy until I figure out what the hell I am doing with the camera. Rich, Give my congrats to Chris on what looked like to me a winning run. But I think he is one of the most fluid riders out there. I look forward to seeing some more of his riding in the future. Does he have plans on entering any other comps?

Thanks Ryan! Ya Joel and Bud where both killin it. I have been tried to get Joel to come with me to comps all year, Then he does and kicks my a$$! But I know that would happen. He is a sick up and comin rider that I think people will start see alot more of! He could do two passes with all 5's and not do the same trick twice, and is very close to a toe off 7, thats sick!! Congrats to Ryan and Bud for makin it to INT nationals!!!!!!!! It is goin to be sick this year!!!! (Message edited by bigpapaf1f on August 31, 2005)

I asked Chris what happened on that 2nd pass and he told me he shortened the rope and it threw him all off. Don't ask me why he did that after what sounds like a pretty decent first pass. Wakeboard contests are like boxing though, the last man standing up is usually the winner! I, for one, miss the BelAqua tournaments and would love to see something like this one on a more regular basis, and thanks guys - I will pass on all the stoke!

Chris is a pimp.... He's a super down to earth guy and welcome in my boat anytime. Rich, I've been hearing some huge hype about that new VLX of yours. Blake told me that thing with stock ballast is just like my boat all loaded. I want a pull . Brandon: You guys were killin it on Saturday. We'll have to hook up and ride one of these days. Not sure about you, but we're getting geared up for the best riding of the season (late sept, oct and nov). We're always looking for additions to our winter crew.

We've had a lot of different guys - Brady, DC, Aubrey & Doud to name a few - ride behind it and it seems that with stock ballast, the wedge and 4-5 people in the boat they've all been happy with it. It's been nice to not hear any "wake whining" for sure! PM me your number and I will pass it on to Chris, you'd be surprised how many times he's looking for a third.

Arun, Kenny is coming out to Discovery Bay this weekend, you should role out for a day if you have some free time. We will probably ride early and late. Too many people in the afternoon.
