Wake Gear...?

What do you guys consider to be essential wakeboarding gear? i got my board and bindings, lifejacket, O'Neill boardshorts...anything else? oh, by the way...my neoprene lifejacket is one that i picked up at Sam's Club. should i invest in a Jet Pilot or O'Neill?..and why?

i forgot...i have an Accurate Jacket Mainline and Straightline tractor handle with 360 weave.

You need a rope but I'm assuming you probably already have that. Jet Pilot and O'neill vests are really great and lightweight( that rhymed) but may not be worth investing in. It depends on your level of riding. I would always have lube on the boat for you and your friends to use also.

we use shaving cream as binding lube. i have noticed that my jacket tends to be really saturdated and heavy after i've been in the water a while...how do the premium jackets respond? do they hold a lot of water?

i don't have an expensive jacket but the flotation foam is divided and molded to avoid that I believe.

I don't like to use soap or shaving cream cause it does not dissapate fast enough. Don't like getting the handle slippery or having my feet come out too easily.
