You know what’s funny, as soon as I saw the picture of the Valhalla on the front page; I knew there was going to be a thread like this. I just find it kind of funny how people act differently through a media that requires no actual face-to-face contact. I guess it's good in the way of, people don’t hold back and they can speak their mind. Or in some cases, lack of mind. But if this board was presented to them in a different light, such as at a demo where you saw a pro riding it, and ripping it up, and then telling you how good it was, I bet their reaction might be a little different. Now, I’m not saying I think this board is the greatest thing since the first compression-molded board. But I think it's pretty idiotic to rule something out because it's different from what you know. I just hope that mind frame doesn’t come out in other aspects of your life.

in some cases, yeah, i agree with you. but more often than not, people tend to agree that no matter what board a pro rider's riding, he/she is going to be ripping it up, which means to the regular joe, it doesn't matter what works for the pros...it matters what works for that particular person.

Joe, I actually agree with you on that. Most pro's would probably still rip on a peice of plywood attached to their feet with bungee cords.

I'm just gonna say whatever O'Brien pays me to say.

Shawn... I was pretty serious about finding out the ideas behind the crook fins. I wanted to know it's purpose. I guess I realizied that calling an inovation a gimmick was stupid of me. Although I still question the new byerly wakeskate fin things.

I'll bet this board is going to cost major bank, and that is no gimmick. Coming from a ski company, this surprises me like not at all. Next.

DC,

Just because O'Brien is one of the few "SKI" companies that chose not to hide it's wakeboard line behind some Gen-X made up name, to trick the ever so gullible consumer, doesn't mean there stuff is any more expensive or that the quality is any less then everyone else.

Wakeboards Skis
O’Brien = O’Brien
Hyperlite = HO
CWB = Connelly
Blindside = Kidder
