i bought 95 mastercraft maristar and has no power out of hole or under load, it spins 4800 rpm when empty. i have changed plugs, changed fuel filter(it was filthy)i was wondering if plugged injectors might be causing that much of power loss. i checked the plugs after using for 2 hours and the were a shade of white meaning lean mixture. i have injector cleaner in tank but i was wondering if anybody has had similar problem and fixed it. i do know an auto mechanic that says he can take apart throttle bodies and clean

Check the spark plug wires.

If you have 4800 rpms at top speed, then you likely have a prop issue. Yes, the TB could need a cleaning and it is always a great idea, but the problem is most likely the engine torque curve not matching your intended use.

Let me know what prop you are running and I can match you with what you should be running.

what i cannot figure out is that i know guy with same boat and he runs 2000lbs with same engine and prop and it is only a little sluggish for him. i am running half the weight and the boat will barely plane when trying to get up on board
