Help, I have a 2004 Moomba Mobius LSV that I just put 5 small scratches on it by tapping a dock without a rubber rail. The scratches are about an inch long each and one has a small pock mark about 1/4" deep. I was quoted $500.00 to fix it by a fiberglass repair shop....is there an easy way to "do it yourself"?

It depends on how deep the scratches are. I've used Meguiars' Boat Polish with good success to rub out light scratches from wakeboards.

For deeper scratches, 3M has a medium oxidation / scratch remover with a more agressive abrasive compound. However, you have to follow it up with something like Meguiars to get back to a high gloss.

I think that I will need to fill at least two of them...is this easy to do?...I have heard the only hard part is matching the color of the gelcoat as the boat is red.
