I'm looking for a good pair of board shorts that has some pockets (at least two, one for $$$ one for keys) with drain holes and are good quality plus look good.

Any suggestions?

Mossimo boards shorts from Target. I used to buy the $30-$45 boardshorts that of course look pimp, but I would rather spend my cash on better equipment and boat gas. You can pick up 3 pairs of board shorts from Target for the price of one from any of the name brand manufacturers and still look good.

The reef shorts with the thong chicks on them RULE! Billabongs for comfort though.

very very impressed with my ambiguous boardshorts this year. wasn't a big fan of Ambiguous but I really like the shorts. For the people at the the 2nd canyon lake comp, you should know which shorts I'm talking about.

My husband likes his Corona board shorts. He also likes Billabong and Fox. I find Billabong and Hurley very comfy...

My vote splits between Hurley and Volcom, both are long, soft and fast-drying.

One of my friends started a clothing company a few years back and their boardshorts are the greatest. They zip up instead of having the velcro.

The name of the company is Focus Athletics. I don't think that the new site is up but it is www.focusathletics.com

What is that razor/sharp comb thing for??? I got a pair of quicksilvers and they had that thing bungeed into the pocket, but aside from accidentally cutting my hand on it, I couldn't think of what to do with it so I took it off.

Is it a surfing thing or something? Like cutting yourself from underwater plants...

it's called a wax comb. I don't surf but the only thing I can think it could be used for is roughing up the wax surface to make it a little grippier.

Like Thane said, it's for cutting little grooves into the wax on your surfboard. It creates better traction. As for shorts, the best ones are the O'neill's with the stretchy wetsuit material panel sewed in. Those things are so comfortable. I also like Rip Curl (I've been surfing longer than wakeboarding), or just about any brand without metal rivet, so I don't scratch the boat.

Andrew,

Anything Plaid??

That must be a 35 year old thing? Where do you find plaid board shorts?

Everyone thinks I'm nuts, I only wear plaid shorts and I'm in desparate need of some new ones. try finding plaid these days. You can't, I was told by the sales lady that it was out of style. OUT of style, plaid never goes out of style I said.

Let me know!
