Hi there, I am very new to wakeboarding having just purchased my first board, an o'Brien Ambush 143. I am an Irish guy living in Hillsboro Oregon until September. I have a boat back home that I share with two mates for fishing that is powerful enough to use for wakeboarding. However I cannot wait till September!! Is there anywhere you can hire a boat suitable for wakeboarding or are there and wake boarding camps that offer lessons in or around the Oregon area. Thanks
Active Watersports has Koppert lake in Toledo Wa. about 60 miles north of Portland, it's there private lake that offers lessons and pulls check out Actives web site for more info www.aws-online.com
Lyle, how ya doing? yup I am over here with intel training for home. My board came with morph bindings which seem slightly too small for me (my big toe is about 1/4 inch off the pad). There will be a group of us using the board at home and I have the biggest feet as far as I know so its ok. The bindings should also loosen up with use. Do you work for intel? How often do you get out boarding?
Tom thanks for the info. I checked out the site and it seems perfect , exactly what I am looking for.
Ed, Just a guess. I don't work for Intel myself but know a couple of people who do. We go out about 3 or 4 times a week. We can teach you how to ride. There really isn't that much to it. What part of Ireland are you from? My parents just went on walking tour in Ireland.
If you want to meet some wakeboards you should come down to Who's Song and Larry's Restaurant Tomorrow evening. They have a competition every Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm.
