As an Aggie, this year has been amazing! You should go back and watch some of his highlights...the kid is insane and very entertaining to watch. It's crazy to think that in spring ball they weren't even sure he was going to be the starter. Whoop!

You're just mad because Johnny Football is dominating the papers and Tebow is now an overrated 3rd stringer. Besides, dude's a RS Freshman.

Bowl games are irrelevant to big time programs such as Florida.
NC or bust.

Johnny football is going to get kicked out of school or bring sanctions down on TAMU. The kid is varsity blue's partying it up and walking around with wads of cash. I will say he is an amazing football player though.

Dude's gold diggin senior girlfriend is hot though...
seriously though, i hope he stays in school and doesn't get kicked out, get caught with money or whatever. it'd be cool to see what this kid is capable of in 3 more years.... i would also say he does NOT need to go pro until he's graduated. he's got to learn to stay in the pocket and not make those "tebow" runs if he wants to make it in the nfl. qb's don't last doing that in the pros. examples.... both mannings, aaron rodgers, drew brees...vs tebow, vick, and soon to be rg3 if he doesn't stop trying to do it all himself.... ok rant over. someone blast me over it haha

I was at the Cotton Bowl and am an Aggie also. It was amazing to see in person. If A&M would have played Florida towards the end of the season it would have ended like the OU game... with Florida fans leaving in droves after the 3rd quarter. The thing about Manziel is that he doesnt't really look super fast like Vick did in college. Johnny just outruns the defense and looks like he is jogging. It has been a crazy year that no one expected.

The money pic isn't a big deal (was legally at a casino in Oklahoma) but the one with bottle in hand is a little more suspect. I expect him to reign some of this behavior in when he gets tired of dealing with all the critics. He seems like a stand-up guy but does like to have fun. Let's just hope he stays out of trouble for the next 3 years!

Its a compeltely accurate comment.
Big programs could care less about bowl games... Bowl games are cute for little football programs.
Bowl games in general are a very poor idea and need to go away. glorified scrimmage in most.

I agree with you on bowl games, but would you not cry foul if Florida didn't get invited to one? What if they expressed these feelings, especially as a majority of fanbase and didn't support the bowl financially, and the BCS took notice that they didn't care. You may be accurate in your observations and opinions, but being in a bowl, any bowl, is important to your University and program. Getting whacked by a much "lesser" team, especially when you have a 3 ranking next to your name, isn't necessarily good for the program. I'm biased, as I will enjoy any down moment UF has, but to come out of that game saying it doesn't matter is just a lame excuse for playing incredibly terrible, or just not being that good.

agreed, at the end of the day or end of bowl season Florida dropped way back in the rankings, well at least they dropped behind my Gamecocks, it matters

I would agree a little that bowl games are not a huge deal and that the extra month of practice is more important to most coaches than winning the Pinstripe Bowl, but when you're Will Muschamp and you really haven't done much, you DO care about a BCS bowl. Flat out played. Just like my Wildcats.
I did not want to admit that Manziel was a stud and wanted it to be proven that Klein was superior, but Manziel showed he was the class of college football in the bowl game as far as on field talent. Off the field he is a punk and I totally agree it's going to catch up with him. He has to understand that a lot of responsibility comes with being the QB and leader of a major program. I'd take Collin Klein and Manti T'eo as a representative of my alma mater any day over Johnny Manziel.
